Productivity growth sucks
Improvements in productivity are critical to growth of an economy, particularly ours, since our wages are so high. IHT reports that "The productivity of American workers slowed to a standstill in the summer while wage pressures were rising at the fastest clip in more than two decades, a combination likely to raise inflation concerns at the Federal Reserve." In other words, interest rates may remain high or even go up - not good for the poor American who is barely managing to keep up.
