Can I have kids if I marry a 40 year old woman?
Larry is a 23-year old man madly in love with a 40-year old woman. "I have two brothers and they they are saying that I shouldn't marry her because she is too old and I can't have kids. Is it too late for this woman to have kids or we still have some hope?"
Larry, it is not impossible to have kids; it is just less likely. Getting naturally pregnant after 40 is somewhat difficult, but not impossible. Plus with techniques like IVF and donor eggs she can improve her chances. And also remember that even if you were to marry a 20 year old there is no guarantee that you can have kids. Not all couples can have kids; there are occasional problems. So this really shouldn't be an issue.
With your family, you have to explain to them how much you love this woman and how you want to be happy with her. You really hope that they will share in your happiness; if not you will have no choice to do what is right for yourself and leave them behind. It is going to be a difficult conversation but right now your family members are hoping that due to pressure from them you will give up.

You can, but I wouldn't recommend it! Any body thats in their forties should have teenagers by now.
I'm in the same situation but I'm the older woman (44) and he is 26. My heart is broken as he wants children so much and I've already had my family from a past marriage. They are 18 and 21 years old.
Scares the hell out of me to think of starting all over but I can't force him to stay with me. We have such a beautiful relationship and I feel horrible that we've ran into this THICK wall of "what if's".
I read that pregnancies after 40 are not as dangerous as I was lead to believe growing up but wow...do I have the energy to do this all over again?
I'm in the know of how much children can be draining on a person and he has no clue.
I don't know what do to. :-(
I'm 22 years old and i married a 40 years old beautiful lady, and believe me we are taking care of each other waaay better than any other couple i've seen, we dont have any fights we dont argue everything is great, shes waaay better than any girl my age i dated. regarding kids we are going to try, as i think if we are willing,and god wants it then we will get a baby.If not i'm still going to love her forever
