Does fertility treatment have any side effects?

With fertility treatment becoming cheaper and more popular, couples are choosing IVF without thinking too much about it.  After all, many people already know someone who got a child through artificial insemination and of course so many celebrities undergo in vitro fertilization that it makes as much news as their being arrested for DUI

Since the fertility experts make tons of money in these procedures, their goal is to maximize number of pregnancies, even if they eventually end in miscarriages or deformed babies are born (for these they always blame the parents).  Of course they also don't care what happens after a child is born.

Now experts are learning that kids born through IVF are more likely to have diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes and certain cancers.  The reason is that when conception takes outside the body, the cells are exposed to way more oxygen than what they get inside the womb.  This changes how many and which genes are turned on.

How to fight friends making rumors?

Nancy writes, "Rumors^.^ they aren't pretty. So when one flew around of me I was shocked. Who would have that much grudge on me to say rumors about me and say they are 100 percent true? My terrible ex-friends thought they were true, and because of that I lost 3 friends. I think they don't have much fun in their lives if they are believing in them and telling others it's true. All I wanna do is to shut them up and let the whole thing die. What do I do to make the brats shut up?"

Yes, rumors are painful and there is nothing you can do to stop them, because the more you try to deny them the more fuel it adds to the fire. However, it makes sense to let your close friends know what the truth is because they are the only ones who will trust you more than the rumors.

The best way to shut up the rumormongers is to ignore them.
