I think it is appropriate to criticize Britney Spears for her sheer dress or Gwen Stefani for her bra show or Brooke Hogan in her sexy bra top, but look who else does the same? Lindsay Lohan.

I think that top is simply too sheer. The only good news is that she is wearing a bra.

Martha Stewart on Howard Stern show

The last person that I expect to be funny is Martha Stewart, but she was hilarious on the Howard Stern show. She talked about her sex life, watching lesbians in action in prison, her plastic surgery dreams, and then dressing without panties.

I think she was joking, but who knows, she told Stern that she went "commando" for the interview. "No, I have no underwear on," she said, and then added, "And I find bras restricting." Braless too? I don't believe it.

By the way, Martha is a celebrity chef, home decorator, CEO, and a woman who sets standards for American society about etiquette.

After displaying her privates to the world, Britney Spears publicly announced that she would resume wearing underwear. Now unless you wear your underwear the way Gwen Stefani does, chances are no one will find out if you are wearing it.

Well, Britney is kind enough to not make you go through that painful process of guessing her undergarments. She has gone sheer.

I am still debating if wearing a matching bra and panties would have been a better choice.

That pink bra (looks like the same bra that April Scott wore) really stands out.

I liked what Teri Hatcher did when she wore a black sheer dress with black boy shorts.

Looks of Scarlett Johansson are so beautiful that she was herself shocked to see them once. No surprise then that even a very gay Isaac Mizrahi was tempted to play with her body in public. But don't you ever touch her if you see Scarlettt Johansson walking around in New York.

But Louis Vuitton is now going to use her face and body to sell their handbags. I wish I could buy one.

I learned earlier that apart from Kate Moss, Christina Aguilera is a big fan of Agent Provocateur lingerie. There is one more person we can add to the list: Gwen Stefani.

Britney Spears to wear underwear again

After delighting her fans with her crotch on display Britney Spears has declared that she will resume wearing her underwear. In a message to her fans on her website, she says that because Victoria's Secret has launched a new line of underwear, she will start to use it - I wonder if she was referring to that diamond bra, not very different from a bra that she tried to sell on eBay at one time.

There is no direct reference to panties but I am assuming that she will put those on too. Recently she actually did put them on and was kind enough to flash her panties to the eager fans.

The reasons? According to her, the pill, diet, and plastic surgery. Indeed bra size is growing everywhere not just in England. Though many wonder if bigger breasts, thunder thighs, and huge butts are good - I am not sure I like obese women with large breasts.

Latest trend - dress without panties in public and show it

Remember the good old days when women actually wore bras and panties and did whatever they could to avoid giving any hints to others about their underwear. The word "underwear" meant items of clothing that you wore under your garments and only you (or a special someone) got to see it.

Then came those tank tops which either forced you to dress without a bra or the bra was there for all to see. A new fashion trend emerged so that bra straps were designed to be shown and a bra was part of a an "outfit."

We all got used to it until the low-rise pants came along. They brought along another trend: show your thongs or panties and fashion experts coined a new term for it - whale tail.

So during last few years we reached a point that a woman's bra and panties were no longer an intimate apparel. When you saw her, you knew exactly what she was wearing inside. For many of us it even robbed us off of that excitement you feel when you are with a woman and she takes her clothes off revealing her lingerie.

Now a new trend is taking birth: dressing without panties and letting the world see it all. Credit definitely goes to women like Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, and Britney Spears. And while it is raising eyebrows right now, you wouldn't have to wait too long before you see it at a mall near you. In case, you don't want to, here are tips on how not to show your panties while wearing a short dress.

And it is not just women - men too have followed the trend, though not as aggressively. It is just that not many women want to see men in their ugly boxers. Thongs and G-strings are another story, though.

Underwear forgetting celebrities

Allure recently did a survey of Hollywood celebrities asking What do you forget when you travel. Iman and May Andersen both said that they forget underwear. And then May added, "...I like really expensive underwear."

I wonder if these women prefer the same lingerie as Christina Aguilera!
