 So you have decided to
become a metrosexual or at least become your real self if you were one in the closet. Like a
gay man or
a lesbian
woman, it is not easy to do that since you are always afraid that people will point fingers at you or crack jokes about you behind your back.

Any
makeover or a transformation is not easy particularly if people around you are not supportive.
Women who undergo plastic surgery often realize that people around them alter their perspectives and respond differently (and that means negatively) to their new/better look. The key to succeeding in such an environment is to think about the good things that are happening to you rather than worrying about how others might be perceiving you.
Someone like you may want to try one of the following approaches:
- If you are still among macho people, you might need to go a bit slow (one approach) so that you gradually transform your persona but not invite any undue attention. Indeed, people around you will notice the change but when it is slow and consistent, men have a tendency to ignore such changes in appearance.
- The other approach is to do a radical transformation. Indeed it might shock some, and you might lose some friends, but then in one stroke you will be a new
person. That way you can start a new life and leave behind those who do not want to appreciate you as you are. The losers always make fun of others and look backward while the winners change and move forward.
