Young
women dating mature men
How
to deal with such relationships?
By Jade Feng
We have been
discussing the practice of young women dating mature
men. In the first part we heard the story
of a young woman who is dating a mature man and then
advised her with a series of questions that she needs to
ask.
These questions should be
answered with a 'no':
-
Has he asked you to wash his clothes, cook,
or perform any other domestic chores for him a little too
early in the relationship?
-
Does he negatively compare your cooking or other
skills to his mother's?
-
If he is over 25 years in age?
Does he still live
with his mother?
-
Does he discredit you or belittle you in the presence
of others?
-
Has he ever asked to borrow money from you?
-
Does he look down on your religion?
-
If he has children, is he overly eager that you
nurture them too early in the relationship?
-
Has he ever hit you or physically abused you
in any way?
-
Has he ever suggested an "open" or
non-monogamous relationship?
-
Does he have, or appear to have a drinking
problem or other unresolved addictions?
-
Has he ever asked you or implicitly prompted you
to do anything which you considered to be illegal, immoral or
unethical?
Generally, my advice is to never get married until you
are at least 25 years old, but if you are certain you have found your
soul-mate, then I wish you the best of luck and happiness.
Kenny Rogers married Wanda when she was 26 and he was 54. They
have a happy relationship.
