| I have
done my share of
theme parks and they are fun to do from
time to time. What I don't like is that they are
almost always overcrowded, there are way
too many kids
(which is fine if you
have kids with you too but it is
painful if you are going there as adults), you often get
tired from walking (that is when
I am in great shape and
I can imagine how tiresome it might be for someone in
poor health or who
does not like to workout), and
everything is generally overpriced. So if you have
already checked out
Universal Studios once (which I did
in
Orlando but not in
Los Angeles), a better option is
simply to visit the CityWalk (generally there is no
ticket to enter and parking maybe free or modestly
priced for dinner). You will have a
great choice
of restaurants, which are more reasonably priced than
their upscale locations. That is why I decided to
choose the LA Bistro of Wolfgang Puck, a chef I admire
and whose recipes are delicious. This location has
an extensive menu, the food is delicious, and prices are
comparable to what you would pay in any
family
restaurant. It was an excellent meal and a
great way to enjoy the visit to the City Walk area. |
