Scarless facelift procedure

Plastic surgery without the scars? Sounds too good to be true. Of course it is not easy though surgeons have developed techniques that either minimize scars or the scarring is in an area that can be easily hidden with clothing and/or makeup.

The desire for scarless surgery is even greater when it involves the face. There is absolutely no way to hide those scars. However, Dr. Harvey Rosen recently discussed his technique for a Scarless Facelift. This procedure used to lift and rejuvenate the entire face with short, hidden incisions behind the hairline and inside the mouth eliminates many of the obvious signs of more standard techniques, such as shortened sideburns, stepoffs in the hairline, pixie ears, and wide, visible scars behind the ears.

“The most significant advantage of this procedure is that there are no visible scars, as in other facelift techniques,” says Dr. Rosen. “But there are many other aesthetic and practical benefits as well. The absence of scars around the ears allows one to have any style of hair-do without signs of a facelift. In addition, it benefits the appearance of the lower eyelid, without its surgical manipulation. Lastly, it enlarges the appearance of the cheek without resorting to cheek implants.”
