When will my breasts grow?

Tamika writes, “I am 14 years old and I’m only a 32A. I really hate having small breasts because it lowers my confidence and I can’t wear low cut tops because I don’t feel good in them! I haven’t grown for a while, even though my chest is hurting (which I know indicates that I should be growing!). I haven’t started my period yet so that might have something to do with it because apparently your breasts get bigger when you start your period. Am I always going to be small chested or will I grow? Please help!”

All girls develop differently and you are still very young to getting worried. You have definitely another 3-4 years to develop fully. If your friends are developing faster than you, there is little you can do about it because you have inherited genes from your parents that are dictating how you will grow. You should start your periods soon and things will get better after that. If you do not get your period in a few months, you must speak to your mother and family doctor about it.

Now how big your breasts will be is difficult to say but generally speaking you must grow like other close female members in your family.
