Teenage moobs
Andrew, a teenage boy, writes, “I am overweight. I also have these manboobs and I get laughed at. I am 12 years old and am 140 cm tall and weigh 50 kg. Please tell me the easiest way to lose my moobs. How long do you think it will take for my moobs to disappear and I will have flat abs?”
The best thing for you to do right now is to eat healthy. In other words, no fast food and less sweets. Also you must run regularly and participate in school sports. You are essentially overweight at this point and if you lose about 5-10 kg you will be just fine.
Regarding timing, I think it will depend on how fast you lose the weight. Basically, you are overweight and at your age, you can lose it pretty quickly but we are looking at several months of eating less and burning more calories through exercise and sports.
Regarding exercising, I find the running to be the best at any age. I have run my whole life and I love it. A few km a day is good. You can just run in a park or on a treadmill if you have one in the gym or at home. Also try to join any sports activity in your school and neighborhood.
Suggestions for eating
1. Breakfast: oatmeal without sugar. Include a fruit on the side.
2. Lunch: a piece of white meat with lots of vegetables on the side. Salad is the best appetizer.
3. Mid-day snack: A fruit with nuts like cashew nuts or almonds.
4. Dinner: Keep it light and if possible eat only vegetables, like a salad. No dessert. No bread either.
