Which facial filler to choose?
Candice writes, “I’ve heard of facial fillers and am thinking of going for one of the procedures. How do I know which one to chose? I know of Restylane, Juvederm, and Radiesse. Which one is better? Are they area-specific (like one is more appropriate for this, and the other more for that) or their differentiation is more in terms of price and duration?”
You have asked a question that bothers a lot of people because there is so much competing and confusing advertising from all of them. However, despite what the ads might make you believe, only your cosmetic surgeon can suggest what is best for you because he can actually examine and decide what will give the best result. Here is a secret, though. A surgeon is typically in bed with one or a few brands and will only suggest what he carries.
So this is what I suggest. Schedule a consultation with a surgeon that hopefully someone you know well can recommend. Consultations should be typically free. See what he has to say. Come back, think about it, and then if possible, please get a second opinion from another surgeon. Now maybe the time to pick the filler and the surgeon.
