Recovery from laser resurfacing procedure

In response to my previous article on laser resurfacing, I have heard from a bunch of people about recovering from laser resurfacing.

According to plastic surgeon Scott A. Greenberg, after a procedure, generally there may be some swelling and discomfort for perhaps a week or so, and there could also be some oozing for a couple of weeks. The skin may even be pink or red for several months as it regrows and recovers. He advises that you must avoid direct sunlight, and if you must be outdoors, use a sunblock with an SPF of 25 or more, for example, Anthelios-SX. Also avoid moving your face muscles as much as possible and use a moisturizer at least twice a day to keep your skin hydrated and supple.

So unlike other times, I wouldn’t say, keep smiling, but let me say, “take it easy.” If you have gone to a good surgeon like Dr. Greenberg, there is nothing to worry.
