It is no surprise that standards of beauty vary by cultures and ethnicity but with globalization it is hard to pin them down. One would think that women all over the world are trying to look like Hollywood celebrities, but research conducted by The New York Times proves that there is no one ideal of what a woman should look like. While they do not have a list of what women all over the world want to look like and the cosmetic surgery procedures they have to look that way, below is a summary of the differences by ethnic origin.
American: Breast augmentation
Iranian: Nose jobs
Italian: Knees
Oriental: Double eyelid surgery
Chinese: Inject fillers into earlobes to make them look more prominent. Leg extension surgery in rare cases
Korean: Slimmer jawlines and rhinoplasty
Egyptian: Facelifts
