Sex after marriage

How much is too little?

Summary:  A man wonders if there is a problem in his marriage since the number of times a week he makes love to his wife has gone down over the years.

A wife reads a guide book to make love to her hubby

Jeff writes, "I have been sexually active since I was married to my wife over three years ago but recently I am becoming less active . Please advise me before my wife is gone with another man."

It is very natural for the frequency of sex in any relationship to go down as time passes. Obviously, newly married (or in a committed relationship) couples have more sex, but as a couple gets to know each other better and as problems of life (mortgage, bills, children, etc.) become more important, sex takes a back seat. Generally I don't see a problem as long as a couple has sex at least twice a week and is intimate in other ways like hugging and cuddling.
Another reason sex can go down is when it becomes boring. Yes, doing it the same way in the same place at the same time wearing the same lingerie can sound dull and boring. I suggest that couples try to change one or more things depending on the situation. For example, doing it in the morning instead of night or having it in the dining room on the table instead of the bed. You get the idea.
