Is Citigroup a good investment?
I have previously made money on financial firms. If you are wondering why I consider ETFs like UYG so desirable, it is simply because if banks cannot make money, no one else can. Putting aside all the mess that they created on Wall Street and almost brought down the world economy, it is indeed true that they employ some of the smartest people on the planet whose sole aim in life is to make money. Thus, I trust them to help me reach my goal of making money trading stocks. Now, unlike other investment banks, Citigroup (NYSE:C) is a laggard and that is why it is buy. Especially because it has dropped almost 7% during last 30 days. So today I bought 200 shares of Citi Bank at $3.86. My eyes are also on XLF right now because I want to diversify a bit.
