Add Technorati tags to Blogger blogs
If you are trying to add Technorati tags to a Blogger blog or making them work, below are a few tips. We had a very difficult time making them work and the wonderful people at Technorati support tried their best, but if you have only a limited knowledge of HTML, then this is what you need to do:
- Start with a clean, original template from Blogger. If you already have a blog and have made changes to the template, you have no choice but to start with a new template. If you do not want to do that or want to switch to another publishing platform, then you must switch to WordPress - tags work perfectly.
- You can add links, AdSense code, etc., but try not to change anything else, particularly in the header area. The reason we were having problems was that we had originally added keywords, description, and auto-disovery code, and all that created problems for Technorati servers to read the data properly. - Then simply follow the directions from Technorati on how to add the tags. A point to note is that if you want to use two words then you must include a + sign.
