Amazon has lower profits but still doing well financially

After news that Amazon had lower profit than comparable numbers last year, you would start to wonder if Amazon is going to be the king of ebusiness or not. But it is important to read the numbers to get a better sense of the financial performance. The lower profits are due to accounting and tax laws and while the money is real, it does not mean that the company is in trouble. In fact, otherwise the financials are solid.
