Dramatic turn in Vioxx trial

While Merck has maintained all along that Robert Ernst (or for that matter any one of the 60,000 or so Americans who died after taking Vioxx, according to the FDA) could not have died due to Vioxx, a world-renowned cardiologist Dr Isaac Wiener testified today that it was indeed Vioxx killed him. Dr. Wiener is the co-director Cardiac Arrhythmia Center at UCLA Medical Center.
