Curvaceous women are sexy
We are falling in love with curves, or should we say, women with curves. According to a survey conducted by a lingerie company, Curvation, three-quarters of American women (73%) want the term plus-size replaced with a more positive term, and the most popular new term was “Curvaceous” (40%). It is estimated that there are as many as 60 million curvaceous women in the United States and not all of them are Latinas or African Americans. Here are a few more interesting findings from the study:
- More than three out of five women (62%) believe it is time curvaceous women had more prominent roles in film and TV. Queen Latifah is the official spokesperson for the lingerie line.
- The majority of women find it easier to relate to curvaceous women on screen: more than half of women surveyed (53%) said that seeing these women in films and on TV help them feel better about themselves.
- Five out of ten American men (49%) think curvaceous women are sexy.
- Two out of five (42%) admit they are actually MORE attracted to curvaceous women.
- Seventy percent of men say curvaceous women can be fit and healthy.
- Two out of five say there is "nothing more natural than a curvaceous woman."
