Britney Spears Piece of Me

Now please do not compare me to Chris Rocker, but I am not embarrassed to say that I am a big fan of Britney Spears. Mind you, it is none of my business to evaluate her mothering skills or to criticize her memory loss insofar as wearing underwear is concerned, but when it comes to making good music, she still is one of the best. That is what I saw in Gimme More and that is exactly what I am seeing in "Piece of Me." I think she gets more attention from the media than the American President and she has had enough.

Ivy Queen Te he querido Te he Llorado

As many of you know, the Spanish music has a special place in my heart and while my comprehension of the language is limited to Hola and Gracias, I still love the music. That is why when I was introduced to Ivy Queen, I was mesmerized. Remember that she is an unusual artist. She has a somewhat masculine voice but has still managed to become a top singer and that includes Grammy nominations. I have watched her other music videos and I must confess that they are good in an unusual way. Here is a favorite of mine called Te he querido Te he Llorado:

There are other things that might interest you about her. She is a woman who has found success in the world of reggaeton dominated by macho Latin men.

Plus, she is a plastic surgery addict and has not only breast implants but also had work done on her face. Plus, she seems to have the longest nails in the world.

Barack Obama Bollywood video

I know well enough that Bollywood (movies from India that often include meaningless dancing with dancers making hilarious moves - apparently the films are very popular even among the educated Indians, some of whom may be answering your phone calls). Here is a hilarious video of Hindi (the language spoken by most Indians) movie clips that somehow manages to introduce Senator Barack Obama. I requested an Indian friend to translate the lyrics and she says that they are neither political nor do they have much relevance to the American presidential election. I think the Hillary Clinton Sopranos spoof video is funnier. I also like the Elizabeth Kucinich interview of FLIF by Jason Jones.
