What is a traditional marriage?

The reasons Mormons and homophobes oppose gay marriage is because they think that a marriage is only between a male and female (and cite the Bible for their hatred). While there is no evidence whatsoever that gay marriage changes anything in society (countries and states in the USA that do have gay marriages are pretty much unchanged socially since gay marriage became legal), these die hard hatemongers still keep arguing the same old argument that no one seems to find credible.

Since the Mormons started their homophobia campaign, a lot of Christian groups have started to openly exhibit their hatred of gays. Unfortunately for them, the hate campaign is not working and several states now allow gay marriage. It is only a matter of time when all 50 states will allow full legal rights to all gay couples but in the meantime, Christian extremists will have a lot of opportunity to snatch money from other hatemongers. Until Mormons started to oppose gay marriage I thought they were otherwise harmless people, who like many celebs, believed that it was OK to be polyamorous (yeah, they no longer approve polygamy because it is illegal and stuff) and grow their religion by turning their wives into baby machines.

It now turns out that like Catholics and Evangelicals, they are also a bunch of hateful terrorists who want to run their business by spreading homophobia. Watch this great musical starring Jack Black as Jesus Christ satirizing how Prop 8 has hurt Californians. It is important to note that Christians have picked only homosexuality as a sin while completely ignoring other sins in the Bible like gluttony (2 out of 3 Americans are fat, including most pastors and priests) or adultery (a leading cause of the 50% divorce rate).

Mormons against gay marriage

It is no surprise that Christians of all denominations love divorce but hate marriage (if it is between gays and lesbians). How could that be? Well, hating gays is great for raising money (typically the main goal of churches) but talking about divorce is bad for business. With 50% divorce rate, chances are that as many as half of a church's congregation is divorced or has gone through a divorce. If you tell these people not to divorce or criticize divorce, not only will they give no money to the church, they might disappear altogether. So like any good business, churches know how to take the most money from their customers and make them coming back (for more hatred). Here is a video that explains it all with humor.

Visit Chueca neighborhood in Madrid

If you are gay or lesbian, I personally invite you to Massachusetts, the only state in the US that allows its residents to marry and lead a normal life. But what if you can't do that, then another place that is thriving is Spain, particularly the Chueca District of Madrid. All sorts of business that participate in the "pink economy," for example, weddings, honeymoon, etc. are available along with excellent restaurants and nightclubs. You don't have to be gay to visit. If you want to know the best places for honeymoon for gays and lesbians, this could be one.
