Until Mormons started to oppose gay marriage I thought they were otherwise harmless people, who like many celebs, believed that it was OK to be polyamorous (yeah, they no longer approve polygamy because it is illegal and stuff) and grow their religion by turning their wives into baby machines.

It now turns out that like Catholics and Evangelicals, they are also a bunch of hateful terrorists who want to run their business by spreading homophobia. Watch this great musical starring Jack Black as Jesus Christ satirizing how Prop 8 has hurt Californians. It is important to note that Christians have picked only homosexuality as a sin while completely ignoring other sins in the Bible like gluttony (2 out of 3 Americans are fat, including most pastors and priests) or adultery (a leading cause of the 50% divorce rate).

I watch the Oscars or the Globes for the red carpet action (it is fun to observe who is wearing what and how good or bad they look) and I must confess that I hate those boring thank you speeches (especially thanking God and family members - I think that should be done privately).

The only stage action I appreciate is performances. And this time, we had an excellent performance by Will Ferrell, Jack Black, and James Taylor. The last thing I expect from comedians is excellent choreography and singing. I must say whatever they did was a lot of fun and excellent art.
