Robogeisha movie

When one thinks of a geisha the immediate thought that comes to mind is that of a young girl in Kyoto that is sweet, gentle, polite, delicate, and vulnerable but is charming enough to seduce you and make you forget all your worries through just conversation and sharing green tea or sake with you.

Not the Robogeisha. Inspired by deadly robots (different from the substitute teacher robot or sushi chef robot) the Robo Geisha (Aya Kiguchi) assumes many roles that we associate with Japanese girls, including kogal, OL, or Ninja and more. After all the movie is made by Noboru Iguchi and Yoshihiro Nishimura, the people behind movies like Tokyo Gore Police, Machine Girl, and Vampire Girl.

Into The Wild movie review

The best movies are those that are either based on true stories or at least inspired by them. Why? I connect better with them. I - or someone I know - can imaging being in the same situation. I might even learn something from it. Science fiction and horror are great genres for entertainment, but when you watch a movie like "Into The Wild," you will be forced to think about your life.
  1. Are you living life to the fullest?
  2. What is the purpose of life?
  3. Are you in control of your life?
  4. Do you understand your life?
  5. How do you define success?
  6. Do you believe in yourself?
  7. What is the best strategy for life?
  8. What about your family life - can you abandon it for your own sake?
  9. Do you want to live a more spiritual life?
Those questions bother Christopher McCandless who leaves everything behind to live a life of simplicity and explore his true spirit. Watch this beautiful movie as he travels to Alaska to live a simple life with Nature on his side.

Dedication movie review

Mandy Moore is a woman of many talents and it is amazing that she actually acts pretty well in the film "Dedication." Maybe it is because an illustrator is actually a creative person and that she is in real life, apart from being seductive. Billy Crudup is a writer (oh, don't tell me that he is like me - a writer who also makes a living from writing) who must learn to work with Mandy Moore so that he can publish a book. Balls Of Fury movie review

It is pretty obvious that we have a huge crime problem. Despite just about 300 million people, we have the world's largest prison population (How did this happen? Does being the world's richest country also mean more criminals?). In other words, traditional crime-fighting tools don't work.

That is why in the movie "Balls of Fury," the FBI uses ping-pong as a platform to find and kill thugs and crooks. Oh, only if that was so easy. It is one of the stupidest movies that I have seen and I couldn't stop laughing the whole time. No, these are not sophisticated jokes for the preppy, Yale-educated types; these are jokes for making the rest of us have a great time at the movies, especially with Maski Oka, Christopher Walken, and Maggie Q around.

Feast Of Love movie review

Unarguably, Shakespeare was a master because hundreds of years later we are finding out that nothing has really changed. We still struggle with the same set of emotions and interactions among people are no different except that we now send text messages and have video chats. The movie "Feast Of Love," starring Selma Blair and Morgan Freeman is loosely based on "A Midsummer Night's Dream," and shows the ups and downs of human relationships in a small town. Eastern Promises movie review

For the fans of crime and mystery movies, "Eastern Promises" is an interesting movie because it has both (along with beautiful Naomi Watts, who plays a commoner who unknowingly crosses path with the mafia). Viggo Mortensen plays the gang member, who is willing to do anything to safeguard the interest of his and that of his gang. Watch the trailer and the review of the movie in the video below:
