| I love
H&M and so do Lanvin, and a host of other
designer brands. I subscribe to all the major
fashion magazines like
Vogue,
Harper's Bazaar,
Elle, and
InStyle, and whenever possible, buy actual
designer products from their boutiques, preferably
in Paris,
New York,
Rodeo Drive, or
Milan. What I don't buy are products made by
luxury designers for Target or Payless Shoes or
H&M, no matter how good they are. No, I am not
arrogant; I shop at Target and
H&M all the time, but when I buy a
top
designer designing a collection for a mass market
retailer, I feel like a loser. I will die of
embarrassment if someone were to find out that I bought
a cheapo version of a
luxury brand, because I always have a clever
explanation for a product from a mass merchandiser.
It does
not mean, though, that there was anything wrong with the
collection from Lanvin and they also developed a
somewhat long but awesome promotional
video with gorgeous models and they even follow a
story line like the commercials for
Bleu de Chanel fragrance and for
Gucci Guilty. Enjoy this clip to get a glimpse
in the life of
real customers of Lanvin. |
