Pamela
asks, "Can
you get pregnant when you have unprotected sex but
didn't finish having
intercourse?"
Regarding having
unprotected sex, in my opinion, a lot of things have
to go right for a
woman to get pregnant, especially if the
ejaculation did not happen inside. It has to be the
right time for
ovulation and enough
sperms need to reach the egg to
fertilize. So if the
man penetrates a woman but
does not ejaculate inside her, the
chances of pregnancy are very very low. In case you
are not
ready for a pregnancy, and/or a
pregnancy test is positive, I strongly suggest that
you immediately meet with a health professional to
discuss your options. If it is soon enough, a Plan B
morning-after pill (RU-486 or Mifepristone) can do the
trick; if not, an
abortion maybe considered, or if that is against
your beliefs,
giving
away the child for adoption is generally very easy. |
