I don't want to marry

Though I love my boyfriend

Summary:  Marriage is a huge responsibility, divorces are painful, and therefore, unless you are 100% sure that marriage is for you, don't do it.
Natalie writes, "I have a boyfriend for more than 15 years, but unlike so many women, I have not seen the need to getting married.  Maybe I am afraid of commitment, big responsibilities of being a wife, or I just do not want to get married. I am not sure if I am just being unfair to my boyfriend or if I am different than other girls."
Not everyone likes eating broccoli or playing football or wearing red. Similarly, marriage and children are not for everyone. If you are not 100% positive that you want to be married, do all things that married people do, and restricted by all the requirements of being a wife, then do not get married. You will be unhappy, feel trapped, and maybe even get a divorce.

While many couples feel that being married brings more stability to the relationship, it is not entirely true.  What really brings stability is commitment.  There are married couples who cheat all the time and there are couples in simply committed relationships who are totally monogamous Traditional marriage has some legal and tax benefits, but other than that you can get all the advantages of being married by being in a monogamous, loving relationship like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
