Fashion and style tips for women with curves

There is no reason to hide your curvaceous body

The word curvaceous is now being used to describe most of us. According to the National Eating Disorders Association, an average American woman is 5'4" and weighs about 140 lbs. Despite all those skinny Hollywood celebrities and models, some of the hottest stars right now are curvaceous: Vida GuerraJessica Simpson, Jennifer Lopez (Jennifer Lopez fitness), Beyonce, Eva Longoria, Mariah Carey, and Scarlett Johansson.  In other words, our style icons represent us. So how can you look great by showing off your curves? Read the simple tips below:
First and foremost, accept yourself. It is totally stupid to compare yourself against others. It is your body and you must like it. You can workout, diet, put makeup on, dress fashionably, etc. but you must love what you have.  Scarlett Johansson says, "I am curvy - I'm never going to be 5'11" and 120 pounds, but I feel lucky to have what I've got."

Stay away from baggy, loose-fitting clothes in an attempt to hide your curves. You will actually look ridiculous. On the contrary, show off your curves by wearing well-fitted clothes.

A model shows off her fit body in a backless dress.Don't wear very tight clothes either. A "muffin top" (when you wear low rise jeans and a short top so that the belly fat comes out) is not cool.  The key is to accentuate what is good and to minimize what is not.

Choose darker or neutral colors.

Stay away from light or sheer fabrics. Try thicker fabrics since they add more support.

Stay away from high necklines.  The best option is to choose a U or V neckline.
